Meet MaeThePirate - a seasoned musician and audio engineer with an impressive background in music production, engineering and live performance.  Currently, Mae works at Bell Sound Studios in Los Angeles California, working on numerous shows, movies, games, and commercials for clients like Apple TV, Netflix, Paramount Plus, Call of Duty, and more. Some notable shows she's worked on are Schitt's Creek, Ozark, Black Mirror, The L Word, the Halo series, and House of the Dragon. While recording for movies, shows, and video games by day, she uses her talents she's honed in the entertainment industry to create her theatrical music. Her musical talents extend beyond composing and playing instruments - Mae is also proficient in audio programming and C# programming, skills she has leveraged to create her own music remixing programs and light displays for her live shows.

When she performs, she likes to mix cello, piano, lighting, and theater to create an immersive experience for the listener. She doesn't merely want to tell you the story, but she wants to show it to you through visual mediums, like using projectors to show the orchestral sheet music moving to the song, a projected movie of timed and stylized lyrics, or using the colors of lights to accentuate on topics and feelings in her music.

Mae  strives to use music to bring light to the world, to shine positive energy onto topics and emotions that many of us may find hard to explain. Her goal is to do her best to make her audience feel they are not alone, and to dance and sing to alleviate some of life's hardest struggles.

Her dance-pop sound incorporates her beloved cello in every song, and her uplifting lyrics transform negative aspects of life into positives. Mae's ultimate goal is to build a community where her music serves as a safe haven for those seeking solace and escape.
